I'm most alive when a design problem has more variables than anyone has yet accounted for. I design for the obvious application and then immediately start asking what breaks it. Different logos, different color systems, different platforms, different operators. I'm not done when something looks right. I'm done when it works across every context it'll ever live in, and when the person who receives it on the other end can actually execute it without coming back to me.
Beneath that systems thinking is a core question: what story does this tell? A system without meaning is just scaffolding, and a story unreadable on any platform isn’t a story at all.
The work I'm proudest of does all three. It scales, it moves people, and it's legible everywhere it lives.
At ESPN, that instinct shaped a decade of campaigns spanning broadcast, streaming, social, and on-air; real-time ad systems; and error-proof graphics seen by millions.
A respected manager told me caring, curiosity, and kindness are keys to success. I think he's right — and I'd add that for me, the caring and curiosity aren't just personality traits. They're how I work. I learn your pipeline, constraints, and edge cases, so what I deliver works for everyone who follows.
Outside of the work I volunteer teaching art and science to kids because I think early creative engagement and curiosity go hand in hand with these subjects ... and they build the kind of thinkers the world needs more of. I'm also a photographer, a horse person, and yes, slightly too committed to Azeroth.

Being on a team with Cressida, the first thing you will notice is that she is a friendly, insightful, and collaborative individual. She shows an aptitude for breaking down and acquiring all the relevant information needed for completing a particular project along with a well developed design aesthetic. Having a more than competent grasp of the tools of her trade, she is always open to learn new things from her fellow teammates as well as share her own knowledge. It was a refreshing experience working with her.
